Full Steam Ahead
After not posting here in over a year (eek!), here's a new sign of life. Following the improvements made to my EMD GP9 model for the final release of the Springfield Line late last autumn, I have now added those updates to my other GP9 models as well. And the GP5 and GP7, too.
So what's new on the updated Geeps?
I'm attaching some screenshots below. You can get the updated engines by simply downloading the .rwp installer files from my website and reinstalling them.
So what's new on the updated Geeps?
- much better exterior texturing, looks much crisper and more detailed now thanks to double resolution hood textures, completely redone normal maps, and remade shadows/highlights on the main texture
- some improvements on the cabview walls, still a bit crude but better than before
- added a cab interior model that is visible from exterior cameras
I'm attaching some screenshots below. You can get the updated engines by simply downloading the .rwp installer files from my website and reinstalling them.

Updated PS-1 50ft Boxcars Now Available
My old PS-1 50ft models have been updated and re-released. The new cars conform to TS15 standards and should generally match my other models in quality.
The updated RWP file is available here: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/boxps150.html
The repaint kit has also been updated, please send me an email if you would like to learn more.

GN Train 6 "Cascadian": A New Scenario for Stevens Pass
Hello,
I have just published a new three-part scenario (total playtime of approximately 240 minutes) that lets you take control of GN's daily Seattle-Spokane all-stops passenger train across Stevens Pass. The train uses two EMD F7A units to pull up to seven cars and runs on a tight schedule.
The scenarios uses my previously released Stevens Pass Backdating kit!
You can download the scenario here.

Amazing Vegetation Update for the RWA Route
Wayne Campbell has recently published a vegetation and texturing update for the RailworksAmerica "Lakeside Route" (Riverside, Waterton & Atlantic -- RW&A).
This update to the route includes an extensive overhaul of the distant and lineside vegetation and improved terrain texturing for the whole route. And it looks remarkably good.
You can download the update in the RailworksAmerica file library.
The update requires only the original Lakeside route to be installed, which you can also get at the RailworksAmerica website.
I'm attaching several screenshots below... but really, you should see it with your own eyes, on your own screen.
